Comfort food which is always popular during both cold and hot weather is arguably "Bakso". so the dish has long been a favourite for a long time by many people, including for citizens in Salatiga.
Situated between two big cities, Semarang and Surakarta, Salatiga which is on the slope of mount Telomoyo and mount Merbabu has cool weather. The town is also called as a miniature of Indonesia, due to as a meeting place for different etnique groups in Indonesia who reside in this town for the purpose of either study or settle permanently after getting jobs and marrying to the locals. This may create the development of various delicious local dishes. And arguably, "Bakso", meat ball soup, is the most popular one.
"Bakso" is widely known as one of Indonesian street food sold by vendors at "warung" (simple food stalls) or food carts. However, nowadays, in order to give a better service and a comfortable eating place for customers, or as a result of growing up their business, some vendors now rent stalls at shopping complexes.
"Bakso Planet" is one of some bakso stalls in Salatiga. It also owns its stall at Makutarama shopping complex which is in a central business district. No wonder the eatery is always busy during dining time.

According to some bakso lovers, if compare to other bakso stalls, "Bakso Planet" at Makutarama shopping complex has more comfortable place with more options.
"Bakso Biasa" or regular bakso consist of meatballs (made from beef), yellow noodles,rice vermicelli, shredded mustard green with seasoned beef broth. Then to enhance its flavour you can add it with soy sauce, tomato ketchup and "sambal" (chilli paste). And you can also order "bakso" with additional tofu, fried wonton or tripe. But if you prefer having noodles, you can order chicken noodles instead with the same additional like "bakso".
Furthermore,what make this eatery offers more options than other bakso stalls is you can order either fried chicken or grilled chicken. And accompanied with some options of drinks, such as tea, coffee and lemon juice.
