Where is it located?
Taman Kota Salatiga was inaugurated on november 25, 2016 on 9 ha of city owned-land by acting mayor Drs. Achmad Rofai, M. Si.
This park, which is still being completed its facilities, situated on "Jalan Lingkar Selatan" or JLS (the southern ring road) Salatiga opens daily for free.

A Fruit Garden
Inside Taman Kota Salatiga, there is a fruit garden, although we should wait for a few years until we can get the fruits, with some fruit trees such as durian trees and mangosteen trees. In a book about tropical fruits, the writer stated that durian is called as the king of tropical fruit while mangosteen as the queen of tropical fruit. Mmm... it sounds like an ideal couple. But, anyway, many people love them so much. Especially durian!

There are Kuntobimo and Rambut Merah trees in this park
Kuntobimo (kigelia africana) is an African tree. The fruits are unique, they look like large sausages hanging from its branches. The Luo and Luhya people in Kenya bury this fruit when they think someone believed to be dead. And many communities consider that sausage trees (kuntobimo) are sacred.
Rambut Merah (thunbergia) is commonly used as a natural canopy for it can protect us from the sun rays.
