The Legend of Baturraden
A long time ago on the southwest of Baturraden there was a prosperous area called "Kadipaten Kutaliman". The place, which merely 10 km from Baturraden was led by an "Adipati" (a local ruler). He was a rich man who had some pet horses and a handsone and well-built "Batur" (servant) who looked after those horses.
The "Adipati" had also a beautiful daughter. However, he was indeed shocked after knowing his beloved daughter felt in love with his "Batur".
It was considered rudeness for a servant who wished to marry his master. Since it wasn't equal in their social level and they didn't want to be separated, so there was no other option.
In his anger, the "Adipati" banished them.
Finally they left "Kadipaten Kutaliman then they both lived in a region which is now named Baturraden, derived from words "Batur" (servant) and "Raden" (master).
Baturraden Natural Theatre
In front of the entrance gate of Baturraden tourist attraction, on the left side you will clearly see a Fokker F28 MK 4000 which can accommodate 63 passengers was bought from PT Merpati Nusantara for IDR 2.5 billions (USD 187.130) said Sarwan, its movie operator.

A Fish Therapy
A fish therapy has been popular in Indonesia for years. It's believed to give health benefit, such as remove the dead skin cells, increase the blood circulation, as a way of relaxation, make the leg muscles comfortable and reduce tiredness so it will make better sleep.
According to Sudiarto, an employee who manage the fish therapy ponds. There are about 1000 fish (similar to wader fish) aged around 1 year. They feed "a special food", so they want to bite our legs and the fish will be changed periodically.
I did the fish therapy while having a glass of coffee which i ordered it there.
In the begining, because it was my first time i did it, so when i immersed my legs into the pond. I was shocked, i felt tickled. I couldn't stay any longer, just a few seconds, but after i was used to, i felt so comfortable when my legs were being massaged by fish teeth and all fish i saw did the same movement, although there was no a leader. Just as soon as i soaked my legs into the water, they came toward mine.
After finished doing a fish therapy, my body, especially my legs felt comfortable. However, never do a fish therapy when you get hurt or any legs injured or swollen.

Natural Cascade
After having a nice fish therapy, i walked toward Baturraden Natural Cascade, it's considered as one of the best spots to have selfie. It's so stunning, i needed to walk down, approximately 95 steps through stairs until i arrived onto the bottom. I was really impressed with its well designed garden down there with some interesting selfie spots, especially in front of the cascade, i saw some people trying to get their best poses.
In addition, the sound of the cascade, with it water flowed into small ponds then continued flowing into a stream made it a magnificent blend of cool, fresh air and a beautiful landscape.
Since i had to continue my exploration to other enticing spots within Baturraden ecotourism, and while i was walking up the stairs, i heard a familiar voice called my name, she was "bu Darso" (Mrs. Darso), we were surprised that we had met in Baturraden. At that time, she and her friends from BRI Bank Salatiga were having excursion. We all live in Salatiga (about 225 km from Baturraden), although i was born in Purwokerto which is 14 km south of Baturraden and grew up there until i graduated from Senior High School. But we never presume to meet in Baturraden. We had a little talk and i took her photos, then i continued exploring Baturraden.
If you are with your kids, they may want to swim and you can take them to a swimming pool with its fresh water, although the water is cold, and you can try a water bicycle as well for free. After that you can have photos at Gumawang Waterfall which is 25 meters high.
