A Freshwater Aquarium Park

Once you show your entrance ticket to officers waiting near the ticket counter. The exploration of approximately 6.5 hectares "Purbasari Pancuran Mas" or renowned as "River World" begin. First, you head to a unique building named "Exotic Aquarium". Next to it, on your left is a nice park with a small pond and a graceful statue of mermaid pouring water into the pond.

Then you walk up stairs and enter a room where you will see some collections of fish, such as Sinspilum, Manaquen, Blood Parrot and more. And if you like pet fish, i think you will spend more time here like what i did.

Next in the other big room, there is a big rectangular tank where more than ten rare Arapaima Gigas, the icon of Purbasari Pancuran Mas, exhibited to public. The Amazon freshwater fish, which originally name is Pirarucu, is 2 to 2.5 meters long and it can attain a size of more than 100 kg. This size can still be up to 4.5 meters.

The carnivore fish feeds 7 to 10 kg fresh beef every two days.

The uniqueness of Arapaima Gigas is its great ability of adaptation. When the water in its environment decreases and the oxygen becomes less. Arapaima Gigas will directly breath the oxygen through the air. And if the water in its environment becomes dry, its will roll its body up like a ball and then immerse itself into a hole until the water come.

Arapaima Gigas merely found in Amazon and Essequito river ecosystem and now under protection of CITIES and IUCN.

In A Fresh Water Aquarium Park you still see many other collections of fish, including the ferocious piranha. And before leaving this ride you can experience in fish therapy pond for free. It will make your legs muscle comfortable.

A Bird Park

After you walk pass a waterboom park and a food stall which sell "mendoan fritters" (Typical Banyumas food made from soy bean) and some option of drinks, both hot drink and cold drink. Now, it's your time to enter A Bird Park which guarded by an exotic statue of "Garuda Bird" in its entrance gate. Here you will see many collection of birds, such as eagles, love birds, kepodang birds, peacocks and more.

Finally, before leaving Purbasari Pancuran Mas, you can explore a lovely artificial lake Fulus by a boat or a water bike for free, but you are required to rent a safety jacket.
