Curug Telu (waterfall), Karangsalam-Baturraden

Come here if you are fond of natural wonders and love doing adventure. There are many stunning photo locations within the complex of "Curug Telu".

After having a plate of delicious "Pecel Kecombrang" and "Mendoan" at "Telaga Sunyi", I headed to "Curug Telu" (Javanese words for "Three Waterfalls"). It's solely a seven-minute drive (2.2 km) from "Telaga Sunyi". If you desire to go at that place, first follow the road to "Lokawisata Baturraden", then take a small roadway on the left side of Queen Garden Hotel.
After driving for 300 metres, you will see "Grojogan Ratu" (Grojogan is similar with "Curug"), a small waterfall on your left side, it's just few metres from the street and no entry ticket is required to enjoy its beauty. When I was there, I met a couple having selfies on a bamboo bridge in front of the small waterfall.

Grojogan Ratu

I spent only few minutes at "Grojogan Ratu". After waiting for a romantic couple having their best photo shots. Then, it's my turn, and I took some pictures of the small waterfall. Thereafter, I continued my journey to "Curug Telu".
It took me about 2 minutes to get to the location. And I was really excited that I could finally visit this place for the first time.

From the entrance gate, after buying an entry ticket I started walking down a small walkway.
When you come here, I recommend you to spend more time, considering there are two interesting spots that are good enough to be seen; "Sendang Bidadari" and "Kedung Pete" on your way to "Curug Telu".
"Kedung Pete" is six metres deep, so this spring well is popular for those who are really expert in swimming, and some of them may have courage to jump from the rock above it into the fresh cold spring well.

Kedung Pete

After crossing "Kedung Pete"you still need to walk down on 180 stairs to your final destination, "Curug Telu".

What makes "Curug Telu" different with other waterfalls within the complex of Baturraden is; It is the only place where three streams that make waterfalls flow into one location. And the one which is four metres deep is the biggest of all.
In the middle, there are big rocks where travellers can sit on them while gazing at the three beautiful natural waterfalls.
