Exotic Views From Malimbu Hill - Lombok

Arisarmu - Malimbu Hill is a point of interest in North Lombok. The Hill is the highest among other viewing hills or viewing posts along Senggigi Rd. No wonder, during your road trip from Mataram to Bangsal harbour, especially approaching sunset, you will see many vehicles are being parked on the roadside.

For those who manage travel agents to Lombok island will enclose Malimbu Hill into their itinetary list. It provides travellers with exotic view of beaches along the road.

If you are planning on driving from Mataram, a capital of West Nusatenggara, to Bangsal harbour where you'll park your vehicles and take a boat to Gili islands. You have two amazing options of main roads that you can choose. The one that is considered shorter which its cool place as it goes through the slope of mount Rinjani where you will have an opportunity to see and feed wild monkeys. While the other one you will drive along Senggigi Rd where you will be amazed with the spectacular scenery of beaches along the road.

Since I'm not a fan of monkeys and the road trip through Pusuk is usually busy with more vehicles as it's considered a shorter road than the road trip through Senggigi Rd, and I also wanted to stop on Malimbu Hill, so I decided to pass through Senggigi Rd.

Malimbu Hill is located in Malaka, Pemenang Sub-district, North Lombok. It's a nice stop to see sunset and if the weather is fine you can also view the beauty of Pandanan Beach, Nipah Beach, Gili Air, Gili Meno, Gili Trawangan, mount Agung and Nusa Penida from up there.

From the top of Malimbu Hill you can get a photo with Malaka sign and Nipah beach or Pandanan beach in the distance or sunset if you want to wait it while having food and drink at any stall available there.
