Arisarmu - Bakso RRI (RRI meatballs) is one of Purwokerto's most famous Bakso stall. So, of course, this small eatery always become my favorite.
Bakso is Indonesian meatballs soup made from finely ground beef, tapioca flour and salt served with seasoned beef broth, yellow noodles, rice vermicelli, sliced celery and fried shallot. And to enhance its flavour, Indonesians like adding soy sauce, vinegar, tomato ketchup and chili sauce.
"Bakso RRI" is located behind Radio of Republic Indonesia (RRI). It is on jalan Brobahan Timur, a small asphalted street (just enough for one car), so, mostly the customers come there by motorcycles. And since it is very well known, even if you are lost, you just need to ask the locals, and i'm sure they will know it and tell you the direction.

The inventor of "Bakso RRI" was "pak Min" (Mr. min) who passed away in the year 2015 said his wife sadly when I was there having the tasty meatballs. Then I remembered my past life when I was a little boy. You know that my mother's home - a confortable house where I used to live - is less than ten minutes walk from "Bakso RRI".
It's still fresh in my memory, although it was a long time ago, when "pak Min" who was a wandering "Bakso" seller carried twin rectangle aluminium containers on his shoulders (it was popular at that time), and I don't remember when he changed it to a wheeled push cart. He always passed through our house. We loved his meatballs. Until one day he rent a house and stopped being a wandering "Bakso" seller, then finally he bought his neighbour house nearby (it's behind RRI) and his "Bakso" stall got its name.
And now, his wife continues running it, although it's closed earlier than it used to be.
