And in Jatilawang District, Banyumas Regency, you can find a speciality restaurant selling fried chicken; "Ayam Goreng Margasana" which is only available in a set menu.
Rumah Makan (RM) means Restaurant, while Ayam Goreng means Fried Chicken and Margasana is a village located 24 kilometers from Purwokerto, a city where I was born and grew up is a Capital of Banyumas Regency. That is why the name of the fried chicken is Ayam Goreng Margasana refers from its genuine region.
Having lunch at RM Ayam Goreng Margasana was bringing me back to the past.
The memorable village of Margasana is a nice place where my mother was born, and I still remember when I was a kid, my parents, my elder sister and brother and I often visited our grand parents whose home was only 5 minutes walk from this eatery.
Our grand mother would buy us the delicious Ayam Goreng Margasana if we wanted.
And I never refused her offer. Hahaha. Then she would ask her servant to buy it for us.

If you drop by at RM Ayam Goreng Margasana, you may be surprised when you order a portion of fried chicken and a glass of hot tea, and the waitress will serve this kind of a set menu on your table.!
But, don't worry, the price is cheap. It's only IDR 32k (USD 2.35).
The sweet taste dominates the fried chicken and both red and green chili paste.
The fried chicken served along with a plate of sliced cucumber, a plate of Oseng Tempe (stir-fried soy bean cake, green chili,and seasoned with salt, garlic and palm sugar), a plate of stir-fried Labu Siam (Indonesian words for chayote fruit) and a plate of Urap Sayur (Indonesian salad dish made from steamed or boiled vegetables with dry dressing of seasoned and spiced coconut on the top).
Honestly, this portion of set menu is too big for me. It's suitable portion for two people with additional just one fried chicken will be perfect.
