Arisarmu - The location is near from Mataram, and its place is also pretty famous among the locals who want to have excursion or have a swim. So, I decided to visit Narmada Park for my early journey in Lombok island.
Narmada Park, nestled in West Lombok Regency, was built by Anak Agung Gde Ngurah Karangasem from Karangasem Kingdom, Bali when he was in Lombok. It used to be the King's resting place.
It takes you approximately 30 minutes drives from Mataram to Narmada Park.
Before visiting this place, I'd just heard about this park from my wife who spent her early teenage life in this beautiful island following his father's job as a navy who was on duty in Lombok. So during that time she and her friends often visited it.

When I was here, it was still on school holiday, so there were many local people who had an excursion in this park. And as usual while visiting a tourist destination, I walked around the area and took some photos, including written information. There is a pool that it used to be dayang-dayang (female servants) bathing place, and it also used to be grown many fragrant lotus flowers.
The evidence of Balinese culture is still exist in Lombok when you find a temple in Narmada Park which is called Pura Kelasa. It is the oldest Pura Jagad in Lombok which symbolizes as the replica of mount Rinjani which is in unity with Kolam Segara Anak (Segara Anak Pool), located next to the swimming pool, that symbolizes the universe.
When I was here I met a Balinese woman, with a group of prayers from Bali, who had just finished praying at Pura Kelasa. At that time I felt not being in Lombok.
Other activity beside walk around the park, you can experience the adrenaline rush by doing outbound activities, such as Cross Net, Elvis Walk, Burma Bridge, Flying Fox and River Tubing, or do relaxation by swimming in its swimming pool and the entry ticket is only IDR 5K (USD 0.35). Unfortunately, I didn't bring a swimsuit so I didn't do it. However I still enjoyed my time by having delicious Sate Bulayak which I bought it here for my lunch.
