Pura Luhur Uluwatu, One of The Most Important Temples in Bali

Arisarmu - Bali is packed with beautiful temples as a part of the locals' spiritual pillar. Travel to Uluwatu Temple which has breathtaking view will give you a memorable experience.

As one of the six most important temples in Bali, Pura Luhur Uluwatu or commonly called Uluwatu Temple is a perfect place to watch sunset if you come here around 5 pm and roam around until sunset.

If you are fond of photography, this place is well worth a visit. The temple is on top of a steep cliff. It offers awesome landscape. However, the crowds here are usually huge, especially during holiday season.

It was a hot sunny day when I arrived at Uluwatu Temple. The parking lot was so crowded with vehicles because most tourists usually don't want to waste the opportunity to visit this famous temple. I drove a scooter which I rent it from my hotel in Kuta. After parking it, I walked toward the ticket counter. The entrance fee was IDR 30.000 (USD 1.40) each for adult.

Inside the area there were monkeys around. Honestly I hate them. They have a bad reputation which often snatch visitors' belonging, such as food, drinks, glasses, earings and anything that can be easily removed. And also monkeys are easy to be aggressive, so never try to feed them.

Anyway, in overall strolled around the area of Uluwatu Temple was nice even at that time there were loads of people. At least I still felt a spiritual atmosphere at one of the most notable temples in Bali where Hindus conduct their worship and religious rituals. And I also enjoyed amazing views from a top of cliff.
