Market munchies or traditional snacks are commonly called as "Jajanan Pasar" in Indonesia, a variety of snacks reflexing the diversity of culinary heritage in Indonesia Archipelago, where in "Pasar Manis", you can experience culinary tourism in a nice environment.
"Pasar Manis" is the first traditional modern market in Purwokerto.
"Pasar" is Indonesian word for "market", while "Manis" refers to "pasaran" or Javanese 5-day: Manis (Legi), Pahing, Pon, Wage, and Kliwon, which each has its spiritual meaning based from Javanese religious tradition.
"Pasar Manis" is noted as a center of culinary tourism in Purwokerto which offers a variety of options of local foods and traditional snacks in a nice clean, hygienic environment and in affordable price, so it can compete with supermarket.

"Jajanan Pasar", which formerly sold only in traditional markets until they are now available in big supermarkets, have original taste which make these traditional snacks will never be neglected and they are commonly served in Indonesian wedding parties, official meetings and even as daily snacks.
The characteristic of "Jajanan Pasar" are: They are still made or will always be made in traditional method and use traditional tools for steaming, grilling or frying. And the main ingredients which generally used are rice flour, sticky rice, cassava and coconut. So, "Jajanan Pasar" can not last long (usually one day).
In the past, before I became a blogger, my wife and I ever sold "Jajanan Pasar".
She got up very early in the morning, and started making them, then at 5 am I delivered them to some "warung" (stalls). You can imagine, how hard to run a business of selling delicious and fresh "Jajanan Pasar".
